Our Journey

The 80's

Way back in the 1980s, our story began in the basement of an old home in Clifton, Bristol. Our passion for working with wood first took root there. In those early days, every wooden turning was crafted entirely by hand.

It was a labour of love that reflected our dedication to quality and craftsmanship. As demand grew, we embraced innovation and introduced automatic lathes into the business. This allowed us to combine modern precision with traditional woodworking skills.

The 90's

During the 1990s, our workshop expanded its range of creations. We produced everything from one-off replica cannon barrels to larger production runs of stair parts and other bespoke wooden items. 

This period marked an exciting time of growth and experimentation. It allowed us to combine traditional craftsmanship with emerging techniques to meet the diverse needs of our clients.

The 00's

By the 2000s, the popularity of pine furniture had taken the UK by storm, and our workshop was at the forefront of this trend. We became one of the leading manufacturers of table legs, chair spindles, and other wooden turned components, supplying both bespoke and large-scale production orders. 

Our work included both bespoke orders and larger-scale production runs. This period solidified our reputation for quality, precision, and reliability.

The 10's

After the pine era ended, we shifted focus to staircases and stair parts.
We supplied homes and businesses across Bristol and the surrounding areas.

This shift allowed us to continue applying our expertise in wood turning and craftsmanship while expanding our services to meet the growing demand for bespoke interior woodwork.

Today

After a brief pause, we turned our passion and expertise toward outdoor lighting products. By combining the material we know and love, wood, with innovative lighting design, we created Iconium Lighting. 

Our focus on premium wooden outdoor lighting, including garden bollard lights and timber pathway lighting, allows us to bring warmth, style, and sustainability to every outdoor space.  Each piece crafted is from sustainably sourced timber. Iconium Lighting reflects our commitment to eco-friendly, high-quality outdoor lighting for driveways, gardens, pathways, and public spaces across the UK.
